I am so saddened by the killing of the tiger in the San Fran zoo. She was such a beautiful tiger! I understand why she was shot, the police did it to protect others from being hurt. But, why not a dart gun? Why kill such a beautiful animal? She was a wild animal. No matter how beautiful, we should never forget that fact. They say she may have been teased. That makes her death even more tragic. Yes, I feel sorry for the boys. I guess it is the animal lover in me. I have always loved big cats, and doubt that will ever change. Seeing the pictures of her dead body lying there broke my heart.
